A search of the room reveals a magic bastard sword and a magic short sword on the body of the Betrayer. The two coffers contain a total of 500 GP, 10 PP and a gold and diamond necklace worth 400 GP.
While searching, Clint hears shouting and clanging behind the interior western wall near the throne. Guided by the sound he finds a secret door. It was not locked and did not appear to be trapped. Opening the door, Clint discovered stairs leading down.

CLW on dargoth for (7)+4=11
ReplyDeleteand if there's time ID stuff
(10)(8)(4)(12)(8)
I dont think we have time to ID. Hearing banging and shouting sounds like a clue to HTFU. We should just hand out the swords to Dargoth and Clint, heal as much as we can, and see if we can get the jump on the graverobbers.
ReplyDeleteHow many 1st lvl spells do I have left?
What are the stats on this wand of magic missile? Charges/caster level?
Banjo has two 1st Level spells left.
ReplyDeleteThe wand has a caster level of 3rd and has 6 charges remaining.
as far as I know, that last CLW was my last spell, and I have one blatant left. shal I use it now?
ReplyDeleteHow about I take one, Dargoth takes one, and Clint sneaks his happy arse down the stairs to see what's hungry down there?
ReplyDeleteI'll follow close behind, bow in hand.
Misc rolls (incl sneak as necessary): 15,12,16,20,1,3,15,13,14,6
@Bruce: Your call. Ideally I would wait for more than one person to be hurt to use a blatt but I dont like the idea of our main stand-up fighter being down 2/3rds either.
ReplyDelete@Keith: Hey... dont we have moar healing potions?
@Brad: Dargoth already has a magic flail. Why dont you take the bastid sword and Clint takes the shortsword?
Agreed. Bastard sword it is. That's the black one, isn't it? I pick it up using a cloth, and drop it in a sack. If it talks to me, I ignore it.
ReplyDeleteClint has a Cure Moderate potion that he will feed to the Fighter... who rolls for that? And I would like to have a magic weapon available at some point - the short sword would be better than nothing...
ReplyDeleteIf we decide we are moving ahead, NOW, I will begin to stealth down the stairs....
Rolls:
[11] [19] [5] [13] [9]
Banjo will Detect Magic and follow the beef downstairs.
ReplyDelete18, 16, 18, 5, 4, 2,
Dargoth, Clint, Banjo and Thurstan each have a Cure Light Wounds and a Cure Moderate Wounds poition. (It is listed in the Character Summary.)
ReplyDeleteI do not care who rolls the healing as long as it is only one potion per round. CLW does d8+1 and CMW does 2d8+3.
Dargoth might want the bastard sword and trade the flail to someone. He has feats with bastard sword (Exotic Weapon Proficiency and Weapon Focus).
I see at least 2 rounds here:
ReplyDelete1 Give bastid sword to Dargoth
1 Give Flail to Kirlic
1 give shortsword to Clint
1 Thurstan CLW on Dargoth
1 Dargoth guzzles Kirlics CMW potion
2 Dargoth guzzles Banjo's CMW potion
Anything else?
CMW roll: 21! woohoo!
Clint's and Banjo's potions? (Kirlic does not have one anymore.)
ReplyDelete21 on a max of 19(2d8+3)? How is that possible?
I didn't ever officially have one, I grabbed an unclaimed one from the group loot when I thought I was going to have to get back in melee with the Betrayer. Before Dargoth hit him with a moon.
ReplyDeleteDerp. I juxtaposed the 8 and 2 on the dice roller.
ReplyDelete11 is a more possibler number
I would prefer the Magic Bastard Sword. I can give you the Flail +1 Kirlic so you would have a magic flail and the Silver Hand Axe.
ReplyDeleteSorry I have been away from the computer all day (Sleeping and Christmas shopping).
I'm fine w/that. I wouldn't use either of that dead king's weapons until we've had a good look at them anyways.
ReplyDeletebzzzzz... "Hey, I should kill everyone in their sleep!"
HE wasnt the King! He was a Betrayer! The spirit of the REAL king will give us cookies and gold for killing him. Or maybe a pony, whatever. After we kill the graverobbers, we should totally go find him and claim our reward.
ReplyDeleteDargoth is now out of his normal spells. He still has a 1st and 2nd level domain spell available. His domains are Air and Animal but I do not know which spells he has prepared or if they might come in handy.
ReplyDelete...you mean THURSTAN is out of normal spells? If Dargoth starts casting spells Im checking his bedroll for pods.
ReplyDeleteYes, Thurstan not Dargoth. My mistake.
ReplyDelete..gubba gabba..
ReplyDeletebtw i follow everyone out the room..
