Clint cautiously moved forward into the room. The rouge checked for traps as he slowly pressed forward. Thurstan and Mr. Wolfe entered the room followed by Dargoth. Banjo moved to the doorway with Kirlic taking up the rear.

Both Thurstan and Banjo cast Detect Magic and detected the presence of at least one magical aura. The sorcerer continued to concentrate, trying to refine his information.

The ominous flames in the braziers have dark eyes. They are creatures!

Malefic violet figures of flame crackle as they leap from the braziers, toppling those containers and spreading hot coals on the floor.

Clint was attacked by both flaming monsters but the flatfooted rogue was missed by both.

Thurstan took 2 damage from burning coals. Dargoth suffered 3 damage from the coals. As they were not standing amidst coals, Mr. Wolfe and Clint were safe.

The Sinister Spire - GM Turn Post 110

The evil here is palpable. Complex and entrancing patterns of silvery bones and skulls fill the black walls and floors. Flanking but not far from the doorway, sinister violet flames dance in twisted oversized iron braziers that are covered in thorns and adorned with shining metal skulls. Atop a low, rectangular dais on the far wall squats a basalt altar, covered in layers of dried blood that fail to conceal a shiny pair of ram’s horns. Two statues flanking the altar portray identical corpulent figures that have cloven hooves, batlike wings, and a ram’s head. In one fist, each statue clutches a skull-topped rod of black iron. The eye sockets of the rods’ skulls gleam in the light.

Banjo cast Detect Magic but did not detect anything.
Clint examined the font but did not detect anything interesting or suspicious. Thurstan and Clint moved forward listened at the curtain but did not hear anything. The rogue also checked it for traps but did not detect anything. Clint pushed aside the curtain and stepped into the room beyond. Dargoth stepped forward and held the curtain for the rest of the party to have a better view.

The Sinister Spire - GM Turn Post 109

This rectangular room is bare, except for a low, dry font in its center. A small door is set in the center of the western wall. Dusty black curtains stretch wide across a wide archway to the south.
