The Sinister Spire - GM Turn Post 2

Returning to the tomb, you find it how you left it.

The rope tied to the king’s sarcophagus is still dangling down the hole. Beyond the hole is a dark verticle shaft.

The hole in the floor is currently large enough for a small-sized creature to traverse. It could be made bigger with manual labor or the appropriate magic. It will need to be made at least large enough for a medium creture to pass to allow the heavily armored members of the party and N'Kima to squeeze past. The hole appears to have been made by the pick work of the hobgoblin.

While discussing your options of what to do, Thurstan recalls that Leera had mentioned that Xeron’s party also contained a goblin and a halfling. Neither were encountered in your previous explorations.

What do you do next?

  1. I thought we pulled the rope up, and left it coiled.

  5. Clint will conduct another thorough search of the hole... look for signs that it was disturbed... then he will attempt to first listen down the hole... then raise the rope up out of it. I want to see how long it is, look for anything notable on it... If nothing gives me pause, I want to lower a torch down the hole.... and see what we can see. If there is still nothing to give pause, I propose we grab some shovels, and widen the hole...

  6. Stand guard, watch the hole for any movement. Wait for the Clint mister to head down. Take time when decending the hole.

Also the map of the crypt, does it include anything below this point or is it strictly what is above.

  8. As soon as everyones ready, I enlarge the hole (heh heh), watch as Clint plays around

And will either lead the way down, or follow Clint(,or the ape, or Turok) into the depths.

I bought belts/straps in town, to harness Mr Wolfe to my back (he won't be large till I'm 10th).

And got him better (MW) armor.
