The Sinister Spire - GM Turn Post 1

After a full day has passed and the party has recovered from their trials, the group is invited to join Ian Turbrand at the Coronet and Cabbage. When they arrive the innkeeper thanks them again for their assistance and makes them a new offer. Disturbed by the news that the king's bones have been stolen, Turbrand offers to pay an additional 500 GP each to recover the stolen bones. This is above what he has already paid for previous services. He explains that the bones are part of an ancient prophesy and are very important. He does not care about the magic items that were also stolen.

Do you accept?

  1. Of COURSE we accept.

Can he give us more background on The Prophecy?

  2. Prophesy has it that the forgotten king might return from beyond death to aid the realm in its most desperate hour. He has nothing more specific.

Turbrand is concerned that if the bones are not recovered, the prophesy might never be fulfilled. He is further concerned that the prophesy could be prevereted to evil ends.

  3. Would a return to the original resting place of the King be relatively straight-forward/safe? I would really like to have seen what they were still digging for... doesn't anyone else think its odd? I mean if they had found everything they were after - why dig further? Perhaps there is additional information to be found there?

  4. I agree. A return may be prudent.

  5. On behalf of Hans:

A dark-skinned human with shaggy dreadlocks and tribal scarring upon his face wearing some strange leathery hide armor that must be from some sort of giant lizard stands in the shadow of his large ape companion. Both have a similar scowl upon their faces.

“Turok shall join. Where Turok goes, N’Kima follows!” the human says curtly and the ape snorts and thumps its chest when hearing his name.

  6. Remember, there was a rope leading down into the darkness. The hole was too small for any of you to pass. Below the hole there was a verticle shaft that lead into the darkess as far as you could see.

  7. "Turok you look strong, like your great ape friend, would you like to go near the front of our party and keep an eye out for danger?" says Thurstan, "Or would you prefer to keep the rear guard? Fore I know you would not like the middle position with the squishier party members."

  8. Returning to the location of the King's tomb is fairly easy now. You have been there before, most of the magics have dissapated and you have a map of the complex.

  9. "Turok is strong. N'Kima is strong. N'Kima will follow Turok. Turok will lead to victory!" The savage man raises his hand in a fist high in the air. N'Kima roars and thumps his chest in approval followed by snorting and nodding - pacing back and forth a bit in his excitement.

ooc: Turok followed by N'Kima. Turok will have his shield and sword ready.
