The Sinister Spire - GM Turn Post 40

The faint odor of urine and feces blends to create a stomach-churning aroma around this run-down, single-story structure of limestone and granite. Gaining entry should be easy through the yawning doorway.

The party notices upon entering the building, a stronger stink fills this wide chamber. Yellow-green, luminescence clings to every surface, outlining dozens of wide clay vats that cover large portions of the floor. Dilapidated tables along the walls are stained with the outlines of stretched hides, some humanoid in shape. On the southern wall is a glowing green stain in the shape of a three-fingered hand. Sitting beneath the stain, its back supported by the wall, is a humanoid figure whose identity is lost in filthy rags.

What do you do?

  3. After you address him, the figure jumps to his feet and begins to yell.

"I am Numa, a prophet! I see what will be, and I see the end of existence!"

The man, a pock-faced drow, begins to wander off.

"See there? It punches up from the deep core to the sunburned surface, rising higher and higher, until it is lost in the white mists that shroud the top of the world!"

Walking past the characters and toward the door, he continues. "What is it? Not alive, not quite. It is glyph-scribed obelisk wrapped in eternal storm, hollowed and inhabited by slimy creatures whose hunger can never be sated ..."

  4. Turok chugs an antitox and feeds one to N'Kima. He shakes his head at the muttering "prophet."

"City filth. Let us crush the filthy drowess in her filthy house so we can quit this filthy place."
Then he casts Aspect of the Bear, and shapechanges into a bear.
