Diplomacy rolls to see what sort of powers Ellesarwa has? Clerical? Arcane? Or is she just a high level rogue/assassin? Can we get an idea of how many minions she is likely to have hanging around sharpening their knives?

Buying items that are not fully charged is possible but not common. What are you looking to buy?
A wand of Daylight.
ReplyDeleteOne thing anyone should know is that Drow love to throw around the Darkness spells, AND theyre light-sensitive. I dont think Thurstan can pack enough Daylights to counter the darkness abilities of a half dozen drow.
I've checked into this, and the only other alternative we have is something granting the scent ability... which would be the Bloodhound spell... that only works on the caster.
what info do we have on Elessarwa Nledoor, or House Dusklorn?
ReplyDeleteI do believe we know where to go next... the old Tannery... And I like where Banjo is going with this; fighting a pack of Drow is going to be dark and messy...
ReplyDeleteAgreed, everyone should probably carry an antivenom with them as well. I only have one left, and I wouldn't be surprised to see a spider there, or arrows dripping with something ouch-y.

You search for a Daylight wand but are unable to locate one. If anyone wises to purchase an Antitoxin, they are readily available for 50GP. Please advise if you purchase any.

If I do not hear differently by tomorrow, I will assume that you are proceeding to the tannery.

ReplyDeleteGuess a little Anti-Toxin would not hurt for 50 gold. (ooc: Since I can't make a save to save my life).
How about looking for Ioun Stone, Dull (whichever).
Cast of get a Scroll of Continual Flame on it.
When we bring out the Stone it should counter the spell? Right? Or am I off here.
Continual Flame - "A flame, equivalent in brightness to a torch, springs forth from an object that you touch. The effect looks like a regular flame, but it creates no heat and doesn’t use oxygen. A continual flame can be covered and hidden but not smothered or quenched.
Light spells counter and dispel darkness spells of an equal or lower level."

Both are available if you choose.
ReplyDeleteNeither will counteract a Darkness Spell or Spell-like ability. As I understand it, you would need a higher level spell or effect to cancel the darkness. It this case that would be Daylight.
