The Sinister Spire - GM Turn Post 70

Soft illumination lights this chamber from a candelabrum full of black candles sitting in the center of a huge stone table. Ten Ironwork chairs, the most elaborate of which is at the head of the table to the north, surround the slab. All places are set. Dust and cobwebs cover the whole scene.

The place settings consist of fine dishes, black silk napkins and ornate ironwork utensils.

Two additional doors exit this room.

Starting positions for Turn 70 are displayed on the Combat Map.

Please submit your turn instructions using the Player Action Response - Turn Post Template.

  3. If we are walking in:

    BE THE MEATSHIELD....

Look at the table / under the table. Since I craft Armor check out the quality of the Metalwork chairs.

Looking for oddities in the room, following in party order wherever we head. Perhaps Clint can take a peek through the doors at the far end if he's feeling frisky?

  7. Clint advances cautiously into the room, and heads to the door to the ...west? (C4) Listen, check for traps, locks... If its all clear, he waits for meatshields to be ready, and then opens it. Ready = they are done looking around in here; and I assume they will wait for Thursty to finish his DM sweep

Sidebar: Would you like me to list the rolls for each of those with mods, or just state my actions and supply a pile of dice rolls, Keith?

    Rolls:
    14,9,15,11,10,20,15,19,2

  8. If you call out the rolls I will use them. Otherwise I will use your extra rolls in the order the actions are applied.

The only source of magic Thurstan detects is coming from the candles.

  9. Wait to find out what type magic the candles are giving off, unless it's just ever burning magic.

  10. If nothing leaps out to attack Clint PointyEarwood, Banjo will attempt to ID the candles.

    Spellcraft: 24 (assuming a +2 from Thurstan)

  11. The candles are radiating evocation magic. You think it is an Everburning Torch spell.

  12. move in and explore with everyone else..

  13. Wait, each candle is an Everburning Torch? Or the candelabra counts as one Torch? Either way, we should take it.

  14. The module does not say. It says candles are magic but does not tell me how many. I am going to treat it as one Everburning Torch.

  15. Not like we can keep the crazy loot anyway.
