The Sinister Spire - Turn Results 67


Dargoth retrieved his bastard sword. The fighter dragged the body of the mimic to the nearest fireplace and burned the corpse. Kirlic picked the remaining slime from his person and his gear. Thurstan scanned the room carefully with Detect Magic but found nothing further.

After the battle was over, Clint resumed his examination of the hallway and the first door. A peek around the corner revealed three more doors and a turn at the end of the passage. Listening to the nearest door reveal nothing but silence.

Clint slashed the monster with Merthύvial and Organ Ripper again. The first attack with each landed dealing a total of 15 damage. The assault was enough to drop the monster.

Shortly after the mimic’s death, Dargoth and Kirlic regained the ability to move once more. The fighter retrieved his sword.

A search of the room revealed the following:

  • A masterwork silvered , ivory-handled butcher knife (tread as dagger) worth 350 gp.
  • A golden serving set (ladle, bowl, tray, large fork and spoon) worth 500 gp.

The Sinister Spire - Turn Results 65

Clint slashed the monster with Merthύvial and Organ Ripper. He missed with the magic longsword on the first strike but succeeded with it and the magic dagger on the second try. The rogue dealt a total of 11 damage and managed to keep his weapons from getting stuck to the mimic’s sticky skin. Banjo cast a Scorching Ray which hit the beast for 17 damage. Mr. Wolfe targeted the monster with his bite. The wolf managed to bite it once dealing 4 damage. Thurstan cast a Lightning Arc defensively from the corner. The spell-like ability struck the monster dealing 3 damage.

The mimic crushed Mr. Wolfe dealing 7 damage. It attacked Clint with its free pseudopod and its bite. The slam attack missed but the bite struck the rogue a glancing nip dealing 3 damage. The elf managed not to become paralyzed.

The Sinister Spire - Turn Results 64


Dargoth power attacked the mimic with his bastard sword one handed. The blow landed dealing 19 damage but was stuck fast to the monster. Clint stepped forward and attacked with Merthύvial and Organ Ripper. The blow from the longsword hit and dealt 16 damage but the dagger missed. Neither blade was stuck to the monster.

Banjo stepped back and cast a Haste spell on the party. Mr. Wolfe climbed to the top of the table. The mimic lashed out with a pseudopod slamming the wolf for 12 damage and sticking fast. The wolfe bit the monster dealing 6 damage. Thurstan stepped back and channeled positive energy to heal the party. The channel healed Thurstan and Mr. Wolfe or 14 damage and the remainder of the party back to full.

The mimic crushed Dargoth for 7 damage. Let go of the paralyzed Kirlic and attacked Clint. The pseudopod missed its target. The bite was directed at Dargoth. The grappled fighter could not bring all of his defenses to bear and suffered the attack. The bite dealt 9 damage and paralyzed the fighter.

The Sinister Spire - Turn Results 63

Dargoth attacked the monster attacking Mr. Wolfe with his bastard sword. The first blow landed dealing 20 damage and killed the monster. Afterward, the fighter took a step from behind the table.

The monster in front of Clint attacked the rogue. Clint slashed at the tiny monster but was not able to land a defensive blow. The monster tried to bite the elf twice but was unsuccessful with both attempts. The monster attacking Kirlic continued its assault. It too missed with both bites. It then moved away under the table.

Kirlic stepped around the table and attacked the monster with a mighty blow. The flail struck home and dealt 9 damage and killed the monster.

Clint attacked the monster in front of him with both Merthύvial and Organ Ripper. Both missed the mark. Banjo waved his wand of Magic Missiles again dealing 7 points of damage with force missiles. Mr. Wolfe held his ground unsure of what to do. Thurstan stepped around the table and attacked the tiny monster with his rapier. The blow ran the monster through dealing 20 damage which killed it.

The stench of rot suddenly grew stronger. With a low moan, the pantry shelves sprouted lashing pseudo-pods tipped with terrible claws. A gnashing maw willed with yellowed fangs and viscous saliva appeared between the grasping arms. The fist arm bashed Kirlic by surprise dealing 10 damage and paralyzed the ranger. The ranger also became grappled by the monster. Kirlic was pushed back by the expanding form of the mimic as it filled the floor space required for its natural form. The second pseudo-pod bashed Dargoth for 8 damage. The fighter fought off the paralyzing effect but became grappled as well as the monster’s adhesive stuck fast.

The Sinister Spire - Turn Results 62

Dargoth bent down and power attacked the two monsters under the table with his bastard sword. The first attack landed dealing 20 damage but the second attack missed. The monsters came out from under the table and attacked. The first closed in on Clint. The rogue managed to slice the monster with Merthύvial for 8 damage before it bit at him twice and missed. The other moved to attack Kirlic. The ranger swung his flail hitting and dealing 7 damage. The monster bit Kirlic dealing 2 damage. Kirlic swung his flail twice more dealing another 7 damage with the first and missing with the second.

The monster in the fireplace moved to attack Mr. Wolfe again. The wolf snapped at the monster but missed. The monster returned the sentiment snapping twice. The first attack missed and the second hit dealing 1 damage. The remaining monster moved to attack Banjo. The sorcerer slashed with his dagger dealing 3 damage. It bit at Banjo dealing 1 damage and missed with the second.

Clint stepped back and slashed at the monster with Merthύvial and Organ Ripper. The longsword struck dealing 8 damage and the dagger missed the mark. Banjo stepped back and fired a wand of Magic Missiles at the monster that attacked him. The force missile dealt 5 damage and killed the monster. The second missile targeted the one that attacked Clint, dealing 3 damage. Mr. Wolfe attacked the monster attacking him but the bite missed. Thurstan came to the aid of his companion, skewering the enemy for 24 damage.
