The Sinister Spire - GM Turn Post 127

A narrow shaft pierces the floor. It’s just wide enough to sit atop without falling in, and the whole room reeks of foulness issuing from it.

What do you do next?

Starting positions for Turn 127 are displayed on the Combat Map.

Please submit your turn instructions using the Player Action Response - Turn Post Template.

  1. What kind of foul scent? Death, Undead, Fungus or something else sinister?

    Anyone have nose plugs?

I am guessing we are going down. Climb rolls / knotted ropes, anything in the shaft to use to climb down?

Do we have any idea what kind of shaft this is? Maybe a bathroom hole and we can just bypass it all together.

Get the guys to Detect Magic, stare down the hole.

  2. "Our curious companion wants to know what the privy smells like. Why not lean over and get a good whiff?" Kirlic prattles on in an attempt to talk the nervousness away. "On a side note, this is the creepiest bathroom I've ever seen. Nothing like moving your bowels with nearly a dozen half flesh/half stone sentries keeping an eye on you."

Kirlic keeps his place in the line, facing the rear of the party, flail in hand.

  4. Thurstan awaits Clints decision, if he wants to investigate the hole, or try another door...

  8. Clint will attempt to unlock the East door, then open. Assumption is I already checked it for traps; if not, then I do...
