Barrow of the Forgotten King - GM Turn Post 61

Investigation reveals that the sarcophagus did not contain a body but did contain four items that radiate magic:

A vestment
A set of bracers
A quiver
A rapier

There is also a scroll written in Draconic.

  2. If Thurstan can't figure out the bulk of the items, I suggest we find someplace to rest. Banjo is out of spells and I think Thurstan is low as well.

  3. Both Thurstan and Banjo can attempt to identify the magic items. Failure means that you can try again the next day.

Banjo does have one 1st level spell available assuming he uses his bonded ring.

Assuming that you have decided to rest, do you plan to rest in the crypt or exit and return to Kingsholm?

  7. I agree with the Monkey. Rest in that room with the one door... maybe even spiked, and stuff. We should probably set a watch, too... Strange things sometimes go bump in the night.

  8. does the map show the secret room? the twist-the-statue room?

  9. I will update the file. It is a 5x10 room attached to the door to the south.

  10. On behalf of Matt Falk:

    Unknown Fighter.
(Keith, Bruce should have sent you the character today that we worked out).

Try to read the scroll. Try to ID the items. Find a nice spot to rest with back to the wall. Split shifts for resting.

I would suggest staying the night in the most easy to defend spot that also gives you an escape route.
