Game on

We are back.

I will do my best to update frequently but I will not commit to a hard schedule at this time. My work schedule is still pretty busy still and I have a few vacations coming up.

I have not had any word from Hans in quite some time. I am thinking that it might be getting to be time to retire Turok and N'Kima but I wanted thoughts from the rest of the group.

Lastly, it has been brought up in the past that this format would be better served by playing shorter material like Pathfinder Society scenarios. I do not have plans to stop this adventure but was wondering what folks thought about that idea? It is a viable option for PFS play and can potentailly take a character out of your play rotation for some time.

  1. I would like for this path to runs it's course, but PFS adventures would work great in this mileu. I would start a new guy and only play him here.

  3. thurstan will wear a bandana over mouth/nose while on the island. he would like to take the same precaution with mr Wolfe but thinks it would interfere with his bite attack, unless he can do something that mr Wolfe can spend a move action removing from himself.

  5. I think Turok and N'Kima should hang out until we're done with this city. Then they can GTFO unless we hear from Hans again.

  6. I wouldnt mind making up a new PFS guy for this format, but I would be sad to never play Banjo again. Unless you started another Tuesday game with this adventure path and just had the dabblers fill in the blanks.

  7. I'm OK with the PFS format, I might actually level a character playing like that. :)

As for Turok, I'm with Banjo. He's a good character to have around, but if he's not playing, than it's probably time for him to go soon. Do you have a contact email for him Keith? Maybe he's forgotten about this with everything he's been through, or he assumed he'd bailed on us for too long and showed himself the door. Perhaps contact would open lines of communication again.

  8. the wand spell has to be on your list (at the right level) unless you are going to use magic device skill it's use, then you could get the lower level version.

  9. The only e-mail address I have for Hans is his school address. I sent him an e-mail there back in April but I have not heard back. No immediate need to pull the trigger but it was on my mind.

  10. If I were to run a PFS scenario in this format (or if someone else was going to) it would be in addition to this game. I would expect that most of the text information could be copied into the blog as the scenarios are in electronic format already vs. the adventures I am running which are in hard copy only.

I expect that a seperate blog would make it easier to keep straight. I would expect that it would take about 2 months to play a scenario. At this point I would not consider starting something new until after Gen Con.

  11. "In addition to" works for me(us), but does it really work for you? You got slammed at work and had to leave just this one on hiatus for a bit. Plus what you run on Tuesday, Saturday, Sunday...

  12. I agree. I run a lot of stuff. i also agree I was very busy and did not/could not commit time to this game. I chalk it up to stuff happens.

As an observation, the game play works best when there are fewer choices for the players. Puzzles, investigation and role playing are the areas where things tend to slow down.

A PFS PBB game is worth a shot. There are three scenarios meant for starting PFS characters coming out in a few weeks. They might be perfect for this.

I figure that if I build it and we work out the bugs, other folks can take a shot at running a PFS scenario. It is a fairly short commitment (as far as these things go). If the GM hates it, they do not need to do it again.
