“So many visitors this day,” cries the waterfall in a gravelly baritone. But no, the voice belongs to a ruggedly handsome man who steps from the falls clad in a shirt of shimmering mail. His silvery hair is not wet, but it cascades over his shoulders in ringlets. A trim beard rounds out his face, accented by a silver chain around his neck from which hangs a pendant shaped like an acorn. Silvery bladed axes hang from a shining belt. His intense eyes are placid pools of blue and white, and he fixes a grim gaze on you, his jaw set. “Tell me, why came you here?”

Barrow of the Forgotten King - Turn Results 101
Thurstan casts Lesser Restoration on Dargoth. The fighter feels better but is warned to take it easy by the cleric and the sorcerer.
Dargoth and Kirlic advanced to the surface of the ledge as did Clint. The remainder of the party cautiously stepped forward on to or further down the stairs. Clint tied a rope around himself and handed the other end to Dargoth. Once certain that he is reasonably secure, the rogue slowly moved ahead checking the safety of the ledge.
He did not get far before a mysterious voice sounded.

Barrow of the Forgotten King - GM Turn Post 101
The air is filled with mist and spray from the nearby waterfall, but you see a slick staircase leading down to a ledge. A cavernous chamber opens to the east, its floor lost in darkness, and it looks like someone has built a rope line into the stairs as a way to make the descent easier.
After descending the slick and worn steps, you come to a ledge. On one side of the slick shelf is the waterfall, and on the other is a cavernous pit. Spikes have been driven into the ledge on the western side nearest the waterfall, and a rope has been threaded through loops in their tops, forming a banister of sorts.

Barrow of the Forgotten King - Turn Results 100
Kirlic, the elf ranger is introduced to the party. He was sent by Torvald to assist in the mission to stop the grave robbers. The ranger produced a letter of introduction that appeared to be authentic.
The party set up camp and rested. The treasure was identified and divided. Thurstan healed everyone to full. The night passed uneventfully.
The next morning, Banjo cast Mage Armor on himself. Dargoth succeeded in a save versus his Demon Fever. Clint scouted ahead and found no traps or signs of immediate danger.

TREASURE TIME
Matt f was next on the potion list, so he gets the bulls strength potion.
the healing potions were divided equally, so now Dave, me, and the Matts each
have 1 clw, and 1 cmw. and 2 sacks(tee hee, i said sacks)of calthrops each.
if we sell the stuff i think we should, Dave, me, and the Matts each will get..
.. 1576.75 gold (each of course)
which leaves the remaining main loot:
+1 Flail (Matt f currently carrying)
wand of magic missles, cl3, 6cgs
amulet of natural armor +1
composite shortbow, +1, fitted for +3 str damage bonus
handy haversack
and the next pick goes to ....DAVE!
(after Dave is me, then Matt f, then Matt h, rinse, repeat.)
if you dont want something, choose anyway, if only to sell to the fence, or another party member. i'd like to settle this before we continue.
choose and we can settle this in this thread. then head out with a fresh loot list.

A search of the room reveals the following items of potential value:
4 potions (magic)

2 shortbows
45 arrows
6 silvered arrows
Gold necklace (100 GP)

(Before the group moves on, this would also be a good time to introduce Brad’s character. Assume that he has entered the area from behind the characters coming from the same way they have. Brad, send me a copy so that I can update the summary sheet.)

Barrow of the Forgotten King - Turn Results 99
Magruug tumbled through and past Clint to attack the rogue from behind. The strike landed for 10 damage. Dargoth steped forward and struck a mighty blow on the monster for 9 damage but missed its heart by a fraction on an inch. Banjo cast another Magic Missile dealing and additional 10 damage. The spell was more than Magruug could take, killing the varag.
Thurstan stepped up and cast a Cure Moderate Wounds on Clint healing the elf for 15.

Barrow of the Forgotten King - Turn Results 98
Magruug slashed at Clint with his scimitar. The blow was a critical strike dealing 13 damage. Dargoth attacked the varag hitting with his bastard sword for 15. Banjo Cast a Magic Missile spell at Magruug dealing 6 additional damage. Leera continued her Bard Song.
Thurstan and his wolf maneuvered to deliver a coup de grace on the sleeping Varag 2. Thurstan ran the monster through with his rapier. The attack dealt 20 damage but the varag could not withstand the shock to its system and died.
Clint attacked with his longsword but missed Magruug. The rogue considered taking a 5-foot step and noticed the caltrops before making the move. He decided to stay put rather than risk further injury.

Old Dice Roller is back
The old dice roller is back. I moved it back to the top. It seems to conflict with the Wizards roller. If one roller disappears the other should appear. As always, the alternate roller appears to show regardless.
