  1. Attempt to identify the potion and the phylactery:

    19, 9, 1, 4

...even if Thurston flubs HIS ID roll, let's assume its a Phylactery of Faithfulness and let him wear it.

Since it's incredibly dusty up here, can we tell if someone went through one of these doors recently?

  2. Thurstan attempts to divine the identity of the phylactry and the potion, getting a [20]+9=29, and [19]+9=28.

Do we know who these visions are of?

    knowledge nobles..[14]+6=20
    knowledge religion..[2]+6=8

  3. The dust was really only in the spider's lair. There was a trail leading out of the lair but it does not continue to show where the robbers went after they entered this chamber.

Thurstan identifies the items as a Phylactery of Faithfulness and a Potion of Cure Moderate Wounds.

It is unclear who the visions are depicting but your guess is that they are showing the Forgotten King, his queen and a vassal.

  4. "An amazing tale is unfolding in front of us, and I fear the fate of those three may be tied to our own as we find more of these paintings..."

I'm examining the room for undetected oddities, taking care to only look, and touch nothing yet.
    Perception: 26 (16+10)
    Misc: 19,17,12,20,5,20,14,1,8,5

  5. Perception Roll: [9]+6 = 15.

I look to the others. I am not going to get blamed for the next monster.

  6. Further searching of the room does not reveal anything else of interest.

I need a decision on where you plan to investigate next: NE door, SW door or SE stairs.

  7. Clint quietly pulls out his thieve's tools and begins to closely examine each door - checking for: Traps, Signs they were recently opened, and what the lock/door mechanism might be to open them....

"I'd like to see if we can figure out where those rapscallions went, and if they took one of these doors... pardon me while I check them out?"

Starting with the NE door, then SW, then check for signs of tracks on the stairs...

    Rolling:

    [17] [10] [5] [13] [9] [6] [11] [15] [9] [8]

  8. The doors do not appear to be trapped or locked. There are no signs that the doors have been opened recently. There is no obvious trail indicating the doors or stairs.

  9. Clint informs the party that he has no clear idea of where the bad guys may have run off to, but decides that the door to the NE looks inviting, and so he opens it, carefully, and looks inside....

    More rolls?
